Robert Smithwick

As Executive Vice President of Operations, Rob is responsible for oversight of all operations including sales, marketing, construction, contracts, planning, and development. At Kolter Homes, he has an instrumental role in the processes and procedures necessary to achieve high volume and profitability while maintaining the highest level of customer experience.

Previous experience includes Division President roles with large, national builders and operating divisions of up to a thousand units annually. Rob earned his BS of Finance and Masters of Science in Resource Economics from the University of Florida.

As Executive Vice President of Finance, Chris is responsible for the firm’s strategic and financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting. Chris is also an integral member of the acquisition team.

Chris has over 20 years of experience of financial leadership in homebuilding, public accounting, manufacturing and education.

Chris received his MBA from Michigan State University, his BBA from the University of Michigan, and is a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to joining Kolter Homes, Chris was VP of Finance at Divosta (Pulte) Homes, and received his Sigma-Six Green Belt from Villanova University.

Bob started with Kolter in 2010 by opening our first Cresswind community. Since that initial opening, the Cresswind brand for active adults has expanded to four states and six cities. Prior to Bob’s current role with Kolter, he was our Area President for the markets in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Bob’s 30-year career in Home building includes management positions for Del Webb, Pulte Homes, Ryland Homes, and Taylor Morrison.

Bob received his BA from the University of Kentucky
