Michael Stephens

Sr. Vice President, Development - FL

As Senior Vice President of Development for West and Central Florida, Michael is responsible for all land entitlement and development operations stretching from Ocala to Naples/Ft. Myers and extending East to Polk County. Michael has 20 years of experience in land acquisitions, development and brokerage in the commercial, multifamily and single-family residential sectors throughout Florida. Prior to his current role with Brookfield Kolter, Michael was the Vice President of Land for M/I Homes of Sarasota where he helped launch and run the new division start-up. Michael holds an Associate’s Degree in Construction Management, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management as well as a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Central Florida. He is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Florida as well as a member of the Suncoast Builder’s Association where he co-chairs the Developer’s Council.
